Kapakahi Jug Band

Now here's a classic image found by Sally Drake between the pages of a book . Wish I knew why we were so dressed up. Had to be a big occasion.

I think it must have been 1980, cuz I wore that dress around then. I left for AK on April 1, 1981.

Bart adds:
I have to puzzle over the location, too. We were pretty duded up.......... I do know that the old Dobro that Jeremy is holding is one that I had while living at Hakipu'u, one that I wished I had never sold. In the circa 1982 photo from the Pacific Club I had the National Tri-cone already. I don't think that ownership of the two overlapped, so '80, '81 is a good guess. I completed the guitar shown while living in Kalihi Valley and am pretty sure I moved out of there in mid '79.
